On August 21, 2023, at approximately 1:41 a.m., Jourdanton police responded to reports of gunfire in the 500 block of Elm Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 23-year-old Jorge Antonio Erosa Jr. suffering from gunshot wounds. He was initially transported to Methodist Hospital in Atascosa and subsequently transferred to a medical facility in San Antonio, where he was pronounced deceased.
