On December 29, 2023, at approximately 4:40 a.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting in the 3100 block of Harry Hines Boulevard in the Oak Lawn neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers discovered two 14-year-old boys suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital, where one of the victims, identified as Ah-bralen Rider, succumbed to his injuries on December 31.
