On March 9, 2024, 21-year-old Desirae Hope Rivera was fatally shot at an unauthorized party in San Antonio, Texas. The event, heavily promoted on social media, took place at a former Knights of Columbus hall on Old Pearsall Road. Around 4 a.m., gunfire erupted, resulting in Rivera's death from a gunshot wound to the head. A 29-year-old man also sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the incident.
