On March 12, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in Canyon Lake, Texas, resulting in the death of Edward Canales, a 62-year-old resident of the area. The Comal County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) received a call at approximately 7 a.m. from a residence located in the 400 block of Deer Valley Street. The caller, later identified as Cynthia Schubert, reported that she was involved in a physical altercation with Canales, whom she described as her boyfriend.
