On May 8, 2024, at approximately 3:25 a.m., Lubbock Police Department officers responded to a report of a body in the roadway near North Loop 289 and Interstate 27. Upon arrival, they discovered 32-year-old Adrian Davila, initially identified by his legal name, "Infant of Davila," deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. The initial call suggested a hit-and-run incident; however, further investigation revealed that Davila's injuries were consistent with a shooting.
