On May 24, 2024, 38-year-old Jeremy Ray Conde was fatally shot in central Lubbock, Texas. Born on January 15, 1986, in Roswell, New Mexico, Jeremy was known for his vibrant spirit and the joy he brought to those around him. He is survived by his parents, Benny and Rosa Conde of Lubbock, and Tracy Ikenberry of Roswell; his children, Jerni Vallejos and Jeremiah Conde; his siblings, Brandon Gallagher, Yvette Archuleta, Kenedi Kellen, and Adina Conde; and numerous other family members and friends.
His passing has left a profound void in the lives of many.
The incident occurred in the 2100 block of Avenue O around 4:06 p.m. According to the Lubbock Police Department, Jeremy was walking by a vehicle when an unidentified suspect fired shots, striking him. The suspect then fled the scene in the vehicle. Emergency responders transported Jeremy to University Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with Jeremy's death. The Lubbock Police Department continues to investigate the case and urges anyone with information to come forward. The community remains hopeful that justice will be served for Jeremy and his family.
