On the night of May 28, 2024, 23-year-old Jourdyn Khalil Matthew Jones was walking home from a store in Wichita Falls, Texas, accompanied by his sister and two friends. As they neared the intersection of Wichita Street and Calhoun Street, two individuals wearing black hoodies and ski masks confronted them, brandishing handguns and demanding their belongings.
