Patrick Allen Blow, a 40-year-old Black man from Granbury, Texas, was a talented artist and craftsman known for his generosity. Born in Givens, Texas, he was skilled in drawing, painting, and millwork, and he devoted his time and resources to supporting numerous community organizations. His artworks were said to have touched the hearts of many who saw them.

On the morning of June 22, 2024, Blow was staying overnight at his girlfriend’s home on Meadow Ridge Drive in Fort Worth. Around 9:20 a.m., while Blow and his girlfriend were asleep in a bedroom, her son entered the room and shot him. The girlfriend, who called 911, told police there had been no argument or altercation before the shooting. Officers arrived to find Blow deceased from gunshot wounds to his head and upper body.

The shooter was identified as the girlfriend’s 22-year-old son, Isaiah Henderson. He was taken into custody near the home and was subsequently charged with murder and booked into the Tarrant County Jail.

Isaiah Henderson later pleaded guilty to shooting and killing Patrick Blow, bringing a resolution to the case.

Family and friends gathered to honor Blow’s life in early July 2024. A prayer service was held on July 5 at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Fort Worth, followed by a funeral service the next day at Covenant Life Baptist Church in Kennedale. He was laid to rest at Skyvue Memorial Gardens.
