On July 10, 2024, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Jasper County Sheriff's deputies responded to reports of a person lying on the southbound shoulder of U.S. Highway 96 in Buna, Texas, near the Tractor Supply Company. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of 18-year-old Arthur Logan Faver Orosco, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
