On July 28, 2024, the body of 19-year-old Oscar Alexis Archila-Estrade was discovered near a retention pond in northwest Houston. He had suffered both stab and gunshot wounds, indicating a violent struggle prior to his death. The location of the body, in a parking lot across from an apartment complex on Hollister Street near Little York Road, suggested that the incident may have occurred elsewhere, with the body being moved post-mortem.
