On August 20, 2024, at approximately 11:47 p.m., Raul Cantu Jr., a 34-year-old resident of Alamo, Texas, was fatally shot in the parking lot of a McDonald's restaurant located at 1018 W. Frontage Road in Alamo. The incident, which authorities believe to be gang and drug-related, resulted in Cantu suffering multiple gunshot wounds to his upper torso.
