On August 22, 2024, at approximately 11:06 PM, the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported shooting at a residence in the 3000 block of Bent Grass Drive in Katy, Texas. Upon arrival, deputies discovered 18-year-old James Wisniewski deceased from a gunshot wound inside the home. Investigations revealed that Wisniewski was a guest at the residence at the time of the incident.
