On September 7, 2024, at approximately 8:20 PM, Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 5700 block of Highland Hills Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered 26-year-old Tamesha Ka'Shea Hicks inside a vehicle, suffering from gunshot wounds. She was immediately transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Despite medical efforts, Hicks succumbed to her injuries on September 10, 2024.
Further investigation revealed that the shooting occurred in the 3200 block of Persimmon Road, approximately a quarter mile from where she was found.
