Rachel Escamilla, a 37-year-old woman, tragically lost her life on September 26, 2020, in Dallas, Texas. She was killed alongside her boyfriend, Michael Rivera, 33, and her mother, Peggy Bailey, 56, in a horrific triple murder at the Super 7 Inn in northwest Dallas. The incident was immediately treated as an apparent homicide, and the victims were identified by the Dallas County Medical Examiner two days later.
The investigation led to the arrest of Efrain Cisneros, a 37-year-old man,
who was charged with capital murder in connection with the killings. Surveillance footage showed Cisneros and a female passenger arriving at the motel in a Ford Expedition, knocking on the victims' door, and then leaving the scene after the shooting. Cisneros was taken into custody and held in the Dallas County jail with a bond set at $3,000,000.
The case drew significant attention, and detectives received several tips following a story aired on FOX 4’s Trackdown, which helped lead to Cisneros' arrest.
