On October 5, 2024, in Bruceville-Eddy, Texas, 18-year-old Braxton Lee Johnson tragically lost his life alongside his father, 38-year-old Michael Morris Jr. The incident occurred near the intersection of Mackey Ranch Road and Old Moody Road, where both sustained fatal gunshot wounds. Morris was pronounced dead at the scene, while Johnson was transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
