On October 13, 2024, Angus Walker, a 34-year-old resident of Grapeland, Texas, tragically lost his life to gun violence. The incident occurred during a block party on Lemon Street in Grapeland, where two men sustained gunshot wounds. Walker was pronounced dead at Crockett Medical Center, while the other victim received treatment at Palestine Regional Medical Center and was subsequently released.
In connection with the shooting, authorities arrested a suspect identified as Tavis Jackson.
