On March 16, 2023, at approximately 8:35 p.m., 61-year-old Jeffrey Zaffarullah Faiz was fatally shot in his residence located in the 3600 block of Military Avenue in the Palms neighborhood of Los Angeles. The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office later confirmed his death as a homicide resulting from multiple gunshot wounds.
