Upon arrival, they detained a suspect, evacuated the residence, and discovered 22-year-old Noah Christian Aguilar, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound. The Orange County Fire Authority pronounced Aguilar deceased at the scene.
The investigation revealed that Aguilar and the suspect, identified as his roommate, 22-year-old Michael Guy Levy, had been living together at the residence. Levy was arrested at the scene and booked into the Orange County Jail on suspicion of homicide. Authorities recovered the firearm believed to have been used in the shooting from the location.
Following his arrest, Levy was held on $1 million bail. The Orange County Sheriff's Department's Homicide Detail led the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting. He graduated from El Toro High School in 2018, where he was known for his humor and wit. Aguilar was also a cancer survivor, having overcome the disease in 2021. He is survived by his son, Jaxson, his parents, and his brother.
The tragic incident has left the community in mourning, as they remember Aguilar's contributions and the joy he brought to those around him.
