On the evening of April 14, 2023, at approximately 7:58 p.m., deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Lancaster Station responded to multiple reports of gunshots in the 700 block of West Kettering Street in Lancaster, California. Upon arrival, they discovered 20-year-old Lancaster resident Jesus Eduardo Valenzuela Lopez near a parking lot, unconscious and suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
