On April 23, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Fortuna, California, resulting in the deaths of 20-year-old Wendell Lee Bott V and his father, 45-year-old Wendell Lee Bott IV. The Fortuna Police Department responded to a report of a suspected homicide at a residence on Newburg Road.
