In the spring of 1996, a 19-year-old woman named Jennifer Lueth, along with her 20-year-old friend Diana Shawcroft, vanished from Glendale, Arizona, a city within the Phoenix metropolitan area. The two friends had recently relocated from Colorado, seeking new experiences in the warmth of the Southwest. On the evening of May 26th, they left the apartment they shared with Diana's sister, intending to make a quick trip to a nearby convenience store for cigarettes and soda.
