On June 12, 2023, at approximately 1 p.m., a shooting occurred on the 800 block of Lampasas Avenue in North Sacramento, resulting in the deaths of two men. The victims were identified as 30-year-old Javonte Johnson and 24-year-old Dalano Cooper. Both individuals sustained serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital, where they succumbed to their wounds.
