On July 5, 2023, at approximately 2:10 a.m., 18-year-old Kevin Chavolla was fatally shot at the intersection of Anna Avenue and Clark Street in Keyes, California. Deputies from the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office arrived promptly and administered CPR until paramedics took over. Chavolla was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
