Jobani Meza Sanchez, a 26-year-old Latino man, was shot and killed on the night of July 30, 2023, in Norwalk, California. Although some initial information associated him with Norwalk, county death reporting identified him as being from Compton. At approximately 8:39 p.m., Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies were sent to the 12700 block of Pioneer Boulevard, between Imperial Highway and Firestone Boulevard, after reports of gunfire.
