On August 4, 2023, at approximately 12:30 a.m., 37-year-old insurance executive Ryan Pincus was fatally shot near the intersection of Mason and Eddy streets in San Francisco's Tenderloin district. Pincus, a vice president of cyber underwriting for Allied World Insurance Co., was visiting the city on business and was returning to his hotel after attending a Giants game and dining with friends.
