Death by Force

On August 23, 2023, at approximately 3:09 a.m., deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 1000 block of Willowbrook Avenue, south of Rosecrans Avenue, in Compton, California. Upon arrival, they discovered 40-year-old Juan Mulato lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to his upper body. Despite prompt medical attention, Mulato was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:24 a.m.
