Death by Force

On October 9, 2023, at approximately 9:45 p.m., the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office received multiple reports of a shooting near an apartment complex on Coloma Road in Rancho Cordova, California. Upon arrival, deputies discovered 30-year-old Todd Thornton inside a vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body. Despite prompt medical attention, Thornton was pronounced dead at the scene.
