On October 27, 2023, 64-year-old Teri Bigoski Mares was found deceased from a gunshot wound in her residence at El Rio Estates on Riverside Avenue in Anderson, California.
The Shasta County Sheriff's Office identified her granddaughter, 30-year-old Crystal Ann Odom, as the primary suspect. Odom had recently been expelled from the residence due to theft allegations and reportedly sought revenge.
