On November 6, 2023, 59-year-old Corina Thompson was found deceased at her residence in Stevenson Ranch, California. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office determined the cause of death to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest, ruling it a suicide.

Thompson served as a custody assistant at the North County Correctional Facility, part of the Pitchess Detention Center in Castaic. Her death was one of four suicides involving Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD ...
