In the early hours of November 21, 2023, a tragic shooting occurred at El Torero Bar in Watsonville, California, resulting in the death of 36-year-old Jenny Carolina Martínez Bejarano. Originally from Colombia, Jenny had been residing in the United States for two years, working as a waitress to support her two daughters back home. Her aspirations for a better future were abruptly ended when she was fatally struck by a bullet during an altercation between two patrons at her workplace.
