On January 17, 2024, at approximately 1:00 p.m., Fresno Police Department officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation near Lee Street and Lorena Avenue in southwest Fresno. Upon arrival, they discovered 24-year-old Taeshawn Johnson suffering from a gunshot wound. Johnson was promptly transported to Community Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased by medical personnel.
