On February 3, 2024, at approximately 1:30 a.m., Monrovia police responded to reports of a fight in the 100 block of East Olive Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered 27-year-old Ahmed Marwan Najjar of Glendora in a rear parking lot, suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body. Emergency medical personnel transported Najjar to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:40 a.m.
