On March 2, 2024, at approximately 5:30 a.m., Fresno County Sheriff's deputies responded to reports of gunfire on the 3100 block of South Indianola Avenue in Sanger, California. Upon arrival, they discovered 43-year-old Sanger resident Cesar Quezada suffering from gunshot wounds outside a residence where his family members lived. Despite life-saving efforts by deputies and emergency medical services, Quezada was pronounced dead at the scene.
