On March 3, 2024, at approximately 1:50 a.m., 27-year-old Deshaun Damariah Barner was fatally shot at a bar located in the 200 block of Pillsbury Street, near 35th Street West, in Lancaster, California. According to witnesses, an unidentified gunman fired into the establishment from outside, striking Barner in the hip. Emergency responders transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:24 a.m.
