On April 10, 2024, at approximately 10:10 p.m., 62-year-old Joseph Barbalinardo Jr. was fatally shot at a residence on Long Barn Road near Circle Drive in Long Barn, California. Deputies from the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a shooting and, upon arrival, detained 69-year-old James West, who was present at the scene.
