On April 22, 2024, at approximately 12:50 a.m., Los Angeles Police Department officers from the Southeast Division responded to reports of gunfire in the 2000 block of East 105th Street in the Watts neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered a blood trail on the sidewalk leading into a residence. Inside, they found 53-year-old Rondrick Williams suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office later confirmed Williams' identity and determined the manner of death to be homicide, caused by multiple gunshot wounds.
As of now, there have been no public reports of arrests or identification of suspects in connection with Williams' death. The Los Angeles Police Department's South Bureau Homicide Division is actively investigating the case and has urged anyone with information to come forward.
