On the night of April 23, 2024, 21-year-old Xavier Buenrostro Meza was fatally shot in Lamont, California. The incident occurred around 11:15 p.m. in the 7900 block of Buena Vista Boulevard, where deputies responded to reports of a shooting victim. Upon arrival, they found Meza deceased at the scene.
The Kern County Coroner's Office later identified the victim as Meza, a resident of Lamont. An autopsy was scheduled to determine the exact cause and manner of death.
