On June 19, 2024, in Hesperia, California, 34-year-old Ashlee Bogdanoff was found with a gunshot wound inside a vehicle near Summit Valley Road and Foley Road. Her husband, 34-year-old Ethan Biroczky, had called authorities around 6:00 p.m., reporting that his wife was injured and needed assistance.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered Bogdanoff in critical condition. She was transported to a trauma center but succumbed to her injuries the following day.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department's Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail conducted an investigation, determining that Biroczky was responsible for his wife's death. He was arrested and charged with murder under California Penal Code 187. Biroczky was booked into the High Desert Detention Center without bail.
