On June 30, 2024, at approximately 1:15 p.m., Palm Springs police responded to reports of gunshots near the intersection of North Indian Canyon Drive and Garnet Avenue in North Palm Springs, California. Upon arrival, officers discovered two men deceased inside a white Toyota sedan, both having suffered fatal gunshot wounds. The victims were later identified as 37-year-old Glenford Gatewood-Quilter of Loma Linda and 27-year-old Jacob Lombardino of Hesperia.
