On the night of July 21, 2024, 22-year-old Jerrell A. Rogers Jr. was fatally shot in southwest Fresno, California. The incident occurred just before 11 p.m. near Modoc Street and Strother Avenue, an area monitored by the city's ShotSpotter system, which detects gunfire.
