On July 27, 2024, a tragic sequence of events in Highland, California, led to the deaths of Jonathan McConnell, 38, of Corona, and Aaron Harris, 37, of Highland. The incident began shortly before 8 p.m. on the 210 Freeway, where McConnell, riding his motorcycle, was lane-splitting and collided with Harris's sedan, which was occupied by Harris and his two children, aged 2 and 5.
