On August 4, 2024, at approximately 12:10 a.m., 42-year-old Alejandro Deleon was fatally shot in East Los Angeles. The incident occurred in the 500 block of North Rowan Avenue, about a mile north of the Pomona (60) Freeway. A witness driving by heard several gunshots and observed Deleon lying in the street between two parked vehicles. Simultaneously, the witness noticed two unidentified individuals fleeing southbound from the scene.
Upon arrival, Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies found Deleon suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner later identified the victim as Alejandro Deleon. The coroner's office determined the manner of death to be homicide, caused by multiple gunshot wounds.
As of now, there have been no arrests made in connection with Deleon's death. The two individuals seen fleeing the scene remain unidentified, and authorities have not publicly named any suspects.
