On August 10, 2024, 47-year-old Alfonso Javier Najera-Hernandez was fatally shot in Oakland, California. The incident occurred near East 15th Street and 12th Avenue in the Eastlake neighborhood, an area known for prostitution-related activities. According to police reports, Najera-Hernandez was driving in the vicinity when he was flagged down by two women, identified as sex workers.
