On July 27, 2023, at approximately 8:15 p.m., 46-year-old Andre Adonis Stevenson Sr. was fatally shot outside a 76 Gas station on the 9800 block of Edes Avenue in East Oakland. The assailant approached Stevenson's Chrysler 300 and opened fire as he was returning to his vehicle after making a purchase inside the convenience store. Tragically, the attack occurred in the presence of his wife.
