On August 23, 2024, 61-year-old Dr. Hamid Mirshojae, a prominent physician known for treating celebrities and athletes, was fatally shot outside his medical practice in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles. As he was walking to his car in the parking lot of the Warner Plaza Medical Center on Topanga Canyon Boulevard around 5:30 p.m., a masked assailant ambushed him, firing multiple shots before fleeing to a waiting vehicle.
