On August 26, 2024, at approximately 3:25 p.m., 36-year-old Matthew Beck was fatally shot near the 22000 block of Santa Clara Street in Hayward, California. Responding officers from the Hayward Police Department found Beck suffering from gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following an investigation, detectives identified 34-year-old Hayward resident Shawn Moayer as the primary suspect in Beck's homicide. On September 4, 2024, Moayer was located and arrested at a resid ...
