On September 13, 2024, 16-year-old Domingo "Dominic" Carrillo was fatally shot in the front yard of a residence on the 1100 block of Oak Street in Red Bluff, California. Emergency responders arrived promptly, but despite their efforts, Carrillo succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
