On September 16, 2024, at approximately 11:30 a.m., 24-year-old Myon Barnes was fatally shot inside a residence in the 1200 block of Greenberry Drive in Valinda, an unincorporated area near La Puente, California. Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies responded to reports of gunfire and discovered Barnes with a gunshot wound to the chest. Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
