On September 23, 2024, at approximately 3:31 p.m., Santa Ana police responded to reports of a shooting in the 400 block of West Camile Street, a residential area near Abraham Lincoln Elementary School. Upon arrival, officers learned that two victims had been transported to a local hospital by bystanders.
