On October 28, 2024, at approximately 6:20 a.m., Nicholas Moody, a 26-year-old resident of Apple Valley, California, was fatally shot in Diamond Bar. The incident occurred at a Park & Ride facility near Pathfinder Road and the northbound 57 Freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Moody was involved in a verbal altercation with another individual parked adjacent to him. During this confrontation, the assailant fired upon Moody, inflicting critical injuries.
